Thiery and Jake Carper split the rest of the game, giving up a combined 3 hits and striking out 8.

In their home opener it was once again the Cat's pitching and defense that led the way before the bats broke through in the 4-5th innings to springboard the Cats to an run-rule victory in 7 innings.  Burkman remained strong on the mound going 5 innings, giving up 3 hits and striking out 6.  Thiery and Ty Carper split the final two innings of the game with both picking up 2 strikeouts each.  Offensively Henkemeyer led the way with 4 hits, Preston and Zues Schlegel both collecting two hits, with 4 other Cat's collecting a hit.
