2025 OFFSEASON
UPDATE (12/4/2025)- Clear Lake has officially been accepted as a probationary member of the Victory League. They will be joining Region 9C. Sauk Valley will continue with 8 Teams.
11/12/2025- Monticello has officially announced its departure from the Sauk Valley League, opting instead to join the Metro Minny League. The primary motivation behind the move is Monticello’s desire to compete in a league comprised of Class A teams located closer to their area. Beginning next season, Monticello will be part of Section 3, joining the Elk River Lumberjacks, who are also transitioning from the Eastern Minny League.
Despite these changes, the number of state tournament bids allotted to Region 1C and District 1B for 2026 will remain unchanged. Region 1C will continue to receive two state bids for its 13 teams, with the Region Tournament set to be hosted by the Eastern Minny League. Similarly, District 1B will maintain three state bids for its nine teams, with the Sauk Valley League hosting the District Tournament. Host sites for these tournaments will be determined in 2026.
Within the SVL, the only adjustment in team classification is Albertville’s return to Class C. This change comes after an update to their points, making them eligible to rejoin Class C and Region 1.
